Drawlings — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Drawlings ("the App") is made by Gabriel Camacho ("we", "us"). We built it so that children can play safely: the App does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no servers.
What happens to your drawings and photos
- When you photograph a drawing or draw in the App, the image is processed only on your device to cut out the character, give it a skeleton and animate it.
- Drawings, characters, their names, favourites and settings are stored only on your device. They are included in your device backup (iCloud or computer) if you have backups turned on; that backup is managed by Apple under your account, not by us.
- The App never uploads anything to the internet. We never see your drawings, photos or names.
- Deleting a drawing in the App, or deleting the App, removes this data from the device.
Camera and photos
The App asks for camera access so you can photograph a drawing and so your character can appear in your room in augmented reality ("At home"). Camera images are processed on the device only and are never sent anywhere. You can also pick a drawing from your photo library: the App only receives the photo you choose. You can turn camera access off at any time in iOS Settings.
Videos you record
In augmented reality you can record a short video of your character. It is saved on your device and is only shared if you choose to share it yourself, using the iOS share sheet.
Voices
The narrator and character voices are generated by artificial intelligence on your device. No text or audio leaves the device. The voices are synthetic: they are not recordings of real people.
Purchases
Purchases of Drawlings Plus are processed by Apple with your Apple ID. We do not receive your name, email or payment details. The App only checks on the device whether a valid purchase exists. Purchases and links outside the App are protected by a parental gate.
Information Apple may provide
If you have agreed to share analytics with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple may give us aggregated, anonymous statistics (for example, number of installs or crashes). This data does not identify you and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Children
The App is designed for children and families. Because we collect no personal data, we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country), in line with COPPA and the GDPR.
Your rights
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. All data lives on your device and is under your control. If you have any questions, write to us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it in the App and on this page, with a new date.
